When does the old Stickley Furniture building at Centennial Promenade come back to life? The building is being split between two tenants, and each has its own schedule. Cooper's Hawk Winery & Restaurant has one side. It will be the chain's first location in Colorado, and it plans to open on Monday, November 23, the start of Thanksgiving week. L.L.Bean has the other side, and the only date attached to it so far is a city deadline of June 1, 2027.
That makes the restaurant the first concrete date of the 2026 holidays at the corner of East County Line Road and South Chester Street. Here is how the two schedules line up for anyone who eats, shops, or runs errands along this stretch.
One Building, Two Clocks
Centennial City Council approved Resolution No. 2026-R-20 unanimously at its July 21, 2026 meeting, as the Centennial Citizen reported. The resolution set up an agreement between the city and B33 Centennial Promenade III LLC, which owns the center. The goal is to turn the former Stickley space at 9511 East County Line Road into two businesses.
The agreement includes one deadline. According to the city's council packet, both tenants must be open to the public by June 1, 2027. The owner can extend that to June 1, 2028, but only for circumstances outside its control. That date is the latest either business can open. It is not a target, and Cooper's Hawk's planned date falls more than six months ahead of it.
The Restaurant Half Arrives Thanksgiving Week
Cooper's Hawk announced the date on its own Centennial location page:
"Our Centennial, CO location will be opening on November 23!"
BusinessDen reported the same date on September 30, 2026, citing the company. BusinessDen also placed the site "across the street from Park Meadows mall." According to that report, the chain has more than 75 locations in 15 states. Founder Tim McEnery opened the first one in Illinois in 2005.
The city packet describes the Centennial restaurant as about 12,000 square feet. The company describes its format as a restaurant, a full-service bar, a private dining room, and a "Napa-style tasting room and retail gift store." Last summer, WhatNow described the menu as a 110-item American-fusion lineup made in a scratch kitchen and designed to pair with the company's wines.
The location page also lists the weekly schedule:
| What | Days | Hours |
|---|---|---|
| Restaurant & Tasting Room | Monday to Thursday | 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. |
| Restaurant & Tasting Room | Friday | 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. |
| Restaurant & Tasting Room | Saturday | 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. |
| Restaurant & Tasting Room | Sunday | 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. |
| Wine O'Clock Happy Hour | Monday to Friday | 3 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. |
| Brunch & Bubbles | Saturday and Sunday | 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. |
Happy hour small bites start at $10. Members of the Wine Club get a monthly wine selection, dining rewards, and discounts. Members at the 2- and 3-bottle levels also get a free monthly tasting for two. Gift cards and Wine Club gift memberships are sold online and in the tasting rooms. That matters for a restaurant opening three days before Thanksgiving.
The location page also has a sign-up list. It promises grand-opening news and "first access to reservations." If you're hoping to get a table during the first week, especially around the Thanksgiving weekend, that list is the only early-booking option the company offers.
The Store Half Is a Move Across County Line Road
The other side of the building has a shorter trip ahead of it. City staff say L.L.Bean is relocating from Park Meadows Retail Resort to the Promenade. The packet's summary calls this "retaining L.L. Bean within the City's trade area." BusinessDen places the new building across the street from the mall, so the store is basically moving to the other side of County Line Road.
Right now, L.L.Bean's store page lists its Park Meadows Retail Store at 8525 Park Meadows Center Drive in Lone Tree, with daily hours. The new Promenade store falls under the same June 1, 2027 deadline as the restaurant.
The move also changes what's around the store. In a mall, an L.L.Bean shares hallways with dozens of other stores. At the Promenade, it will share a wall with a wine-focused restaurant, and the city made that pairing on purpose.
What the City Expects the Pair to Do
Stickley was a single furniture store in that space. City staff estimate that the two new businesses together will bring in about $17 million in annual sales, which the packet calls "a dramatic increase" over the furniture store. According to the documents the Centennial Citizen quoted, the interior and exterior remodel involves more than $11 million of private investment.
The city's share depends on how the businesses perform. Under the agreement, Centennial gives back 50% of the city sales tax the project generates each year, up to a total of $700,000. Staff expect to reach that cap in about four years. The Centennial Citizen reported that the money pays for facade improvements and includes no upfront payment.
The city also describes the goal behind the money. The packet says the tenants are expected to "increase customer traffic throughout Centennial Promenade, support neighboring businesses," and make the center more of a destination for shopping and dining. The neighbors the Centennial Citizen named include World Market, Ross and Michaels.
If Cooper's Hawk opens as planned, the restaurant gets the first try at that goal this December.
The Promenade's Holiday Calendar, in Order
The weekend after Cooper's Hawk's planned opening, the Colorado Christmas Bazaar opens nearby at 9555 East County Line Road. The organizer's listing describes it as an indoor bazaar and lists general admission as free for adults and children. Put together, the season at this end of County Line Road runs like this:
- Monday, November 23. Cooper's Hawk's planned opening day at 9511 East County Line Road.
- Thursday, November 26. Thanksgiving, the first holiday after the opening.
- Saturday and Sunday, November 28 and 29. First bazaar weekend.
- Saturday and Sunday, December 5 and 6. Second bazaar weekend.
- Saturday and Sunday, December 12 and 13. Third bazaar weekend.
- Saturday and Sunday, December 19 and 20. Final bazaar weekend.
Bazaar hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturdays and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sundays. Cooper's Hawk serves weekend brunch from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., so any of these eight days could include brunch and an afternoon at the bazaar without leaving the center. For a gift run after work on a weekday, happy hour ends at 5:30 p.m.
As of this week, the L.L.Bean location with posted daily hours is the Park Meadows Retail Store at 8525 Park Meadows Center Drive in Lone Tree.
